In this small-group full day tour, enjoy a beautiful day in the Provence countryside, from the local market to the lavender fields and the charming villages. Visit the village of Sault of Roussillon and their open-air market, then continue to the hilltop village of Gordes. In mid-June to mid-July, stop at the Senanque Abbey and take wonderful picture of the lavender fields. Visit the Lavender museum and learn everything about the emblematic Provence flower.
Meet your guide in the morning from a centrally located place in Arles. Discover a traditional open-air market everyday in a different village of Provence and appreciate its stalls which present a shimmering palette of fruits, vegetables and other local products.
Drive along a picturesque road through wild lavender fields to Sault, lavender capital or to Roussillon and have some photo stops along the way.
In Sault or Roussillon, you will enjoy some free time to wander and do shopping in lavender shops. You will appreciate the lavender : essence, flowers, honey... Have your lunch (not included) on your own during the day.
Continue to Gordes, perched village in Luberon, designated one of 'the most beautiful villages in France' entirely stone-built. Between mid-June and mid-July only, have a photo stop at Senanque abbey to take wonderful pictures of the blooming lavender fields.
Finally, visit of the Lavender museum (entrance ticket included) in Coustellet where you will find out the secrets of the lavender flower (video, exhibition, demonstration of distillation, shop).
At the end of the tour, your guide will drive you back to Arles.
